5 working days to a brief

A written scoping brief that defines the question, sources and fee.

Sources listed, every time

Each figure in a report links back to where it came from.

Services

Five ways we prepare the ground before you commit

Each service produces a written deliverable with the question, the sources, the findings and the open questions set out in the same order, so two reports can be read side by side.

How we work

A method you can audit, not a black box

The scope comes first, and it is in writing
Transparency

The scope comes first, and it is in writing

Every engagement starts with a written scope. The question, the sources we will use, the shape of the deliverable and the fee are agreed before any research begins — so nothing is a surprise later.

When we make a judgement — about which figures are comparable, where a market boundary sits, what counts as a direct competitor — it is recorded in an assumptions log you can read.

  • Scope agreed in writing before work starts
  • Assumptions recorded, not buried
  • Sources listed for every figure used
  • One review round after delivery

Read the four-step process

We prepare information. You make the decision
What we do not do

We prepare information. You make the decision

We are not advisers and we do not act as one. Nothing we prepare is advice on investments, and nothing we write recommends that you buy, sell or invest in anything.

What you get instead is the material a decision needs: a market picture, a comparison of your options, the obstacles written out in order, and the questions still open at the end.

  • No advice on investments, and no recommendation to invest
  • No promise that an opportunity will work out
  • No unauthorised regulatory claims
  • Decisions remain yours, always

Read our service boundary

The four steps

Brief, scope, research, deliver

Step 01

Brief

You describe the opportunity, the decision you are facing and what you already know.

Step 02

Scope & method

We agree the questions, the sources, the deliverable and the fee in writing before any work starts.

Step 03

Research & analysis

We gather, compare and test the information, and write down every assumption we make.

Step 04

Deliver & review

You receive the written output with sources listed, plus one review round to ask questions.

Our commitments

Three things we put in writing every time

Written, not verbal

Every engagement ends in a document you can keep, quote and hand to a lender or partner.

Assumptions on the record

Every judgement we make about comparability, scope or risk is listed in an assumptions log.

Sources you can check

Each figure is referenced back to the published data or record it came from.

Inside a deliverable

What the finished document looks like

Question, sources, findings, comparison tables where options are weighed, an assumptions log and a list of open questions. The same structure every time.

Deliverables

Everything you receive, listed up front

  • A written report with a clear structure: question — sources — findings — open questions
  • Comparison tables where options are being weighed
  • An assumptions log listing every judgement we made
  • A source list for each figure used
  • One review round after delivery
Questions

Before you send us a brief

No. We prepare and structure the information; the decision is yours. Every report sets out the facts, the assumptions and the open questions, and stops short of telling you what to do.
A written document: an introduction setting out the question, the sources used, the findings, comparison tables where relevant, an assumptions log and a list of open questions.
The scoping brief is returned within 5 working days. A Market Snapshot is typically prepared within 10 working days, and larger assessments are scheduled in writing before work begins.
Published market data, company records, publicly available statistics and the material you provide. Every figure in a report is listed back to its source so you can check it yourself.
We work from written instructions and keep your material confidential. We do not publish client work, and we do not pass your details to third parties for marketing.

Tell us what you are weighing up

Send a short description of the opportunity and the decision in front of you. We will come back with a scoping brief that says what we would research, which sources we would use and what it would cost.
